  • Volunteers pack sack lunches and Christmas bags (including blankets, gloves, toys, and candy) behind Mustard Seed Ministries every Saturday from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. to help about 80 food-insecure residents have a warm meal and extra holiday care in Twin Falls.  KMVT

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Sawtooth Avalanche Center issued an avalanche warning as recent storms dropped over a foot of snow on a weak snowpack, creating dangerous conditions for hikers and winter sports. Residents are advised to avoid slopes 30 degrees or steeper + follow safety tips to prevent triggering slides.  KMVT

HEALTH NEWS

  • St. Luke’s will co-lead a study to find the best program to help teens recognize signs of distress in Magic Valley schools. The trial will compare two evidence-based methods and start during the 2026-27 school year.  KMVT

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Pomerelle Mountain Resort opened its slopes after the mountain received 14-20 inches of snow. Manager Zach Alexander said 400-500 skiers gathered today as all three lifts began operating and he expects more snow and colder temperatures later this week.  KMVT
