  • Comerica is offering SBA 7(a) loans to help Twin Falls business owners with expansion, acquisitions, or real estate needs. The flexible loan option, qualifying nearly 90% of U.S. businesses, provides long repayment terms and lower down payments + faster decisions.  Local News 8

CRIME NEWS

  • On Dec. 15, 2025, witnesses report an RV drove on the Canyon Rim walking trail (adjacent to Elevation 486) and exited onto a grassy area, tearing sod along the way.  KEZJ

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Local farmers may soon receive a post-holiday bonus from the $12-billion Farmer Bridge Payment program announced by the USDA in response to trade disruptions + increased production costs; they must verify acreage by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19 as payments roll out on Feb. 28.  Local News 8

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Kimberly High School student council donated nearly $1,000 from spare change (collected from homes, cars, and bags) to East End Providers, a nonprofit that gives emergency supplies to families in need. The council will run a similar fundraiser next year.  KMVT
  • The Idaho Board of Land Commissioners distributed $68.2 million from the state's endowment fund to local public schools. Superintendent Debbie Critchfield said the funds will support current needs and benefit students as revenue from 2.5 million acres and investments continues to grow.  KMVT

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Idaho’s warm winter with temperatures averaging in the 50s-60s has limited snowfall needed to recharge the Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer (379,000 a.f. is typically banked) and support water supplies; officials warn that if snow does not return in January, water availability may be strained.  KEZJ

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Public Works Director Josh Baird said crews are closely monitoring weather apps to prepare for expected snowfall later this week by fueling vehicles and readying brine to salt roads, and he urged drivers to slow down and avoid passing snowplows (which can fling debris) to stay safe.  KMVT
