- ➤ The King Hill fishing and boating access site will reopen tomorrow, Dec. 13 after construction improved its parking area, which had been closed since Oct. 20 for safety upgrades. KMVT

- ➤ Perkins Restaurant in Twin Falls, located in the parking lot in front of the Holiday Inn (Blue Lakes), closed unexpectedly and indefinitely after a handwritten sign was posted on its doors with no explanation yet from the owners. 1310 KLIX
- ➤ New owners took over Claude’s Sports in October to continue a 40-year legacy and are now stocking winter gear for skiing and snowboarding off Fillmore and Pole Line. They offer equipment rentals and repairs and plan to add summer activities soon. KMVT
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Early Friday, a Twin Falls driver saw a pump price of 2.85 a gallon, the lowest rate in over four years. Experts say fuel costs may drop further later but local commuters have few options to ease rising expenses at the pump. KEZJ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game will conduct helicopter surveys across Magic Valley over the next several weeks to count mule deer and track herd productivity. Biologists will fly in north (units 45 and 52) and south (units 54 and 56) parts to gather data. KMVT
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ INIU is recalling 210,000 portable power banks for fire and burn hazards sold on Amazon to Idaho customers between August 2021 and April 2022 — check your device’s serial number: 000G21, 000H21, 000I21, 000L21 — and take it to a hazardous waste center for safe disposal. KEZJ
- ➤ Idaho residents must sign up for 2026 health insurance through Your Health Idaho by Monday, Dec. 15. Those who miss the deadline will have to wait until next October to enroll unless they experience a major life event (such as marriage, moving, or having a baby). KMVT
