- ➤ Canyon Ridge High School senior Cash Giardina is leading a Christmas project to collect supplies for Twin Falls' Safe House by preparing gift baskets for youth — the baskets include toiletries, blankets, art supplies and snacks. Donations can be dropped off at Canyon Ridge High School, Burger Stop or Magic Valley Orthopedics as the drive runs until December 19. KMVT

- ➤ Recent storms eased Southern Idaho's drought from extreme to moderate, though low reservoir levels still challenge agriculture—Spencer Tangen of the National Weather Service said more winter rain from a weak La Nina could further improve conditions. KMVT
