  • The Gold Buckle Club kicked off its Cowboy Christmas event Friday morning at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds in Filer to raise funds for the Magic Valley Stampede Rodeo. Festivities continue today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with vendors selling western wear, food, and jewelry and live music filling the day.  KMVT

  • Raising Cane’s in Twin Falls is set to open soon after a local report said it would start on Feb 3; however, company officials stated that changes in building plans mean no firm date is set yet—job postings show the restaurant is getting ready.   • Christmas tree permits have been available since Nov 14 and anyone who wants to cut a tree must log in to or create a Recreation.gov account or visit the Minidoka & Ketchum Ranger District offices to get a permit that includes a map, regulations, and tips; fourth graders with an Every Kid Outdoors pass can receive a free permit when a $2.50 reservation fee is applied.  KMVT
