  • This weekend in the Magic Valley, locals can enjoy a CSI men’s basketball tournament, Twin Falls Harvest Time Festival at the CSI Expo Center, a concert at the Orpheum Theatre, a free movie at the Twin Falls Public Library at 3 p.m., SIP Idaho Liquor Tasting at Canyon Crest Event Center, and live pro wrestling at Brickhouse. Tickets and admission vary and events run from today through November 9—offering multiple options for weekend fun—as local groups host each activity.  1310 KLIX
  • As the government shutdown continues, local food banks have seen a 25 to 30 percent surge in demand after SNAP benefits ended — new and returning help seekers are lining up at The Salvation Army pantry. A community food drive is scheduled Saturday from 12 to 5 p.m. at Kimberly City Park — volunteers are joining efforts to support families in need.  KMVT

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Breeze Airways announced in Twin Falls Tuesday that it will begin nonstop flights to Las Vegas and one-stop BreezeThru flights to Orange County starting March 6th using a new Airbus A220-300 fleet—fares start at $49 with flights on Mondays and Fridays. The carrier said the affordable option will help families reach both local family destinations and connect to other cities from Las Vegas.  KEZJ

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Students from across the Magic Valley visited the Idaho Supreme Court on Wednesday to observe an appeal hearing and ask questions afterward—an experience that showed how the court works and why knowing your rights matters. The visit was part of the state’s requirement to educate the public by holding sessions at different locations.  KMVT

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • PSI Environmental Systems opened its new recycling center in Twin Falls — built after Magic Valley Recycle closed in 2024 to serve residents and local businesses. The facility processes aluminum, cardboard and tin and sends recyclables to a Seattle facility that employs people in recovery, with future expansion planned.  KMVT

HEALTH NEWS

  • Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Dark Chocolate mini bars—identified by batch code LLA519501 and best by date January 31st, 2027—sold at Fred Meyer and Smith’s in Idaho are being recalled by Dreyer’s due to undeclared wheat that may trigger severe allergic reactions. The company said no injuries have been reported and customers with wheat allergies should return the product for a full refund.  KEZJ
