  • Kimberly School District now allows trained staff to carry hidden guns on school grounds. Superintendent Luke Schroeder said the new policy—based on Xavier Charter School’s rules—requires strict training, physical exams, and psychological tests before a permit is issued.  KMVT

  • Local law enforcement reminds drivers today not to pass stopped school buses during National School Bus Safety Week—breaking the law can lead to citations and other serious consequences, and updates will be shared on Newsradio later this morning.  KEZJ

HEALTH NEWS

  • In March 2025, Idaho lawmakers passed House Bill 134 that now requires insurance plans to cover breast cancer screenings for high-risk women — a move aimed at improving access amid statistics showing less than 70 percent of eligible women have had a mammogram — while leaving the decision to the individual.  1310 KLIX
