  • Red Cross of Idaho, Montana, and East Oregon will host its Sound the Alarm event on October 11 in Twin Falls at Skylane Mobile Home Park and neighborhoods south of Oregon Trail Elementary School to install free smoke detectors and share fire safety tips — volunteers are needed to help reach the goal of protecting 100 homes.  KMVT

SPORTS NEWS

  • Bryce Hanson, a freshman for the Blue Devils football team, suffered a serious neck injury—he broke parts of his neck and hurt his spine—during a game against Richfield and was taken to St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center. He had surgery and must wear a neck brace for eight weeks while he recovers and the team plans a fundraiser at its next home game.  KMVT
