  • Microsoft will end Windows 10 support on October 14, leaving Idaho residents and local small businesses at risk from hackers—upgrading to Windows 11 or opting for Extended Security Updates is advised.  1310 KLIX

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Idaho farmers set a record for crop production but are losing money as rising costs push expenses higher. USDA data shows that production increased by 3 percent while costs rose 6 percent and net income dropped 30 percent over the past two years — leaving farmers struggling.  KMVT
  • Gas prices in Twin Falls reached $3.46 a gallon today after a two-cent dip last week—AAA Idaho reported that the state’s average rose to $3.52, with neighboring cities seeing larger increases, though prices remain lower than last year. The pipeline is now operational, and price relief may come soon if crude oil supplies do not tighten further.  KMVT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Magic Valley Regional Airport hosted an open house today with the FAA to share plans for upgrades—repairing the main runway, relocating a crosswind runway, and enhancing taxiways and lighting. An environmental assessment will start soon and the public can send comments until Oct 8.  KMVT
