  • On Saturday, crews safely lowered the 400-pound flag 'The Patriot' from its anchors over the Snake River Canyon as part of the Magic Valley 9/11 Memorial display despite strong winds. The team—which included the sheriff’s office, Twin Falls Search and Rescue, and local rescue teams—also spent the day cleaning and repairing the flag for next year’s event.  KMVT

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Seven school districts in the Magic Valley will ask voters in November to decide on $26.4 million in bonds for school renovations and $6.6 million in levies to cover daily expenses—actions that will shape funding for local schools. The measures aim to support updates and maintenance while keeping tax rates unchanged.  Times-News

HEALTH NEWS

  • On Saturday morning, Choose 2 Stay held a suicide prevention and mental health awareness rally from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Five Points parking lot to show support and remind community members that they are loved—organizers hope the uplifting signs inspire those struggling to seek help.  KMVT
