COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Residents can enjoy free swimming at the Twin Falls City Pool tomorrow from 4 PM to 7 PM as the city begins renovating locker rooms and improving accessibility. The project will finish in summer 2026 while the pool remains open for public use.  1310 KLIX
  • Magic Valley's 9/11 Memorial event will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday alongside the Perrine Memorial Bridge with the American flag and a new bell toll—marking eleven groups affected by the tragedy. The ceremony will also display a piece of the Twin Tower and Trade Center steel and include children's books to teach local residents about the events.  KMVT

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Twin Falls’ average gas price increased by one penny to $3.46 a gallon—while the Idaho state average for regular gasoline remained at $3.47, about eight cents lower than a month ago and 11 cents below last year. AAA of Idaho said that prices varied by region and fuel demand may increase this weekend as good weather encourages more travel.  KMVT
  • A new study shows Idahoans pay 25% more on groceries than the national average, with households spending about $10,250 each year as prices keep rising this Fall—shoppers are advised to buy key items before further hikes.  KEZJ

  • Lieutenant Governor Scott Bedke, a Twin Falls native, announced his plans to run for re-election in the Nov. 3, 2026 election—he said he will protect Idaho values, limit government interference, and deliver meaningful tax relief to keep the state strong and prosperous.  KMVT

  • A recent survey ranked Idaho among the happiest states in America—showing the state placed second in both work and community environments while ranking 29th in emotional and physical well being.
