- ➤ On Sunday at 5:47 p.m., a wall holding an anchor on the short suspension bridge at Shoshone Ice Caves gave way, causing the bridge to shift and tilt—three people fell onto the ice below, with one suffering possible broken ribs and the other two sustaining minor injuries. KMVT
- ➤ Firefighters responded on Sunday morning to a blaze along Meadowview Lane near Joellen Drive in Twin Falls that damaged a garage roof and a car while one person escaped safely and an adjacent home was spared — officials are investigating the cause. KMVT
- ➤ The Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office discovered the body of a 19-year-old who fell from his boat into the Snake River behind the dam at Twin Falls Park—he was found at 6:57 p.m. after a call came in at 5:30. KMVT

- ➤ The Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office is seeking 37-year-old Jessica Elaine Starr—also known as Jessica Vincent—for failing to appear and violating release conditions on an aggravated assault charge, and she is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes. - ➤ Luiz Anthony Garcia, a track star from Twin Falls who attended Canyon Ridge High School and Weber State University, made his acting debut in the film Raising the Bar: The Alma Richard Story where he played famed Native American athlete Jim Thorpe with nearly 30 minutes on screen. He said his track background made the transition easier—he is now looking for more acting roles. KMVT

- ➤ Today, University of Idaho Extension offers a new online tool that helps farmers track crop growth and pest stages using daily temperature data to time pesticide use and crop care. Developed by Jemila Chellappa, the Growing Degree Day Calculator uses local weather station data to save money and reduce chemical use—protecting important beneficial insects. Times-News

- ➤ Idaho’s Fish and Game said that wolf numbers dropped from about 1600 to 1200 since 2019 because of regulated hunting and trapping—this plan helps reduce livestock conflicts and aids recovery of prey animals. The agency expects numbers to rebound after changes to the trapping season. KMVT
