  • Rudy’s in Twin Falls, which has served Main Avenue for nearly 25 years, now features a new wine bar and more cooking classes to help locals enjoy quality cookware and specialty foods—new owner Andy Hohwieler said the updates aim to draw both loyal and new customers.  KMVT

CRIME NEWS

  • A man charged after a Twin Falls standoff is expected to plead guilty today — his change-of-plea hearings have been continued — as the court awaits his final submission.  Times-News
  • Shawn Satterthwaite, a 61-year-old from Twin Falls charged with child sexual crimes—including two counts of child sexually exploitative material and three counts of video voyeurism—posted bail on Monday and is scheduled for a three-day trial starting January 14 with a pre-trial conference on December 29.  KMVT

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Twin Falls School District has prioritized that students read by third grade to build a strong foundation for future success. The district uses tests and numbers to guide instruction and asks parents to read with their children—steps that teachers say will help fix gaps before they grow larger.  KMVT
