ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A local resident complained that overgrown shrubs block drivers’ views on Filer and Falls, Addison, and Wendell and Cheney roads and may lead to more crashes in Twin Falls—he urged city officials to clear the obstructions to reduce the risk.  KEZJ

CRIME NEWS

  • On Wednesday morning, a woman’s body was discovered south of Twin Falls and the sheriff’s office began a homicide investigation—officials have not yet identified the victim and report no threat to the public.  KMVT
  • Late Wednesday night, Twin Falls County and Idaho State Police responded to a welfare check in the Costco parking lot where the subject rammed police vehicles and shots were fired with no injuries reported, a chase ensued down Poleline Road and law enforcement used spikes and a PIT maneuver to stop the car near Highway 93; the driver was taken to St. Luke’s for medical clearance and arrested on charges of aggravated battery and felony eluding—an investigation is underway.  KMVT

  • A bat caught in Minidoka County tested positive for rabies and health officials urged residents to avoid contact since the deadly disease has no cure — exposure can be fatal if treatment is not sought promptly.  1310 KLIX
