ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Thursday at 1:45 p.m., a Honda Pilot driver failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Ritchie Road and 2350 South in Bliss and hit a westbound vehicle, causing two children with serious injuries to be airlifted to a hospital—2350 South has reopened while Ritchie Road is expected to open within an hour. - ➤ Farmers in the Magic Valley are busy with hay baling season and are cutting and drying hay to feed livestock. Hollifield and other growers choose different crops—like alfalfa for cattle and grass for horses—and carefully manage moisture to avoid fire hazards. KMVT
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Counties in the Magic Valley will receive $42,152,787 in PILT funds to offset lost tax revenue from federal lands. Twin Falls received $2,206,058 and Lincoln got $1,162,940 for services and capital projects — officials say this funding helps maintain essential services and avoid future budget cuts. KMVT
- ➤ On Monday, Rock Creek Rural Fire District burned an old two-story home in Kimberly during a firefighter training exercise, and spectators watched the event & observed safety measures in action.
