EDUCATION NEWS

  • College students in Career and Technical Education Programs must now verify their citizenship after a new federal rule voided old guidance that once allowed undocumented students to get federal benefits—at the College of Southern Idaho, those who do not verify by mid-August will be removed from courses that rely on federal funds.  KMVT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Filer Highway District will reopen Pole Line Road today by 5 p.m. after nearly three months of work that replaced old asphalt and widened shoulders for farm equipment. Officials spent $6.5 million adding new turn lanes at the 2200 East intersection — they urge drivers to obey the 50 mph limit with sheriff’s enforcement present.  KMVT
