ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • An 18-year-old woman from Hansen drove westbound when her car veered into the median and rolled near the I-84 and I-86 junction east of Burley—she and her two teenage passengers, who were not wearing seatbelts, were taken to the hospital as Idaho State Police continue investigating the crash.  Local News 8

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Artisan Labs celebrated its 5th anniversary on Saturday, July 19 in Hansen with an open house where residents toured the facility and received limited-edition body oil, marking the company’s growth since it began in 2020. The company built a $3 million production facility on U.S. Highway 30 in fall 2021 and is planning a 40,000-square-foot expansion—its design phase continues with no set groundbreaking date.  Times-News

CRIME NEWS

  • The Idaho Transportation Department warns Idahoans that a scam text falsely demands payment for an outstanding traffic ticket and advises reporting it to the FTC+ the department stresses that it never sends texts about unpaid fines.  KEZJ

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gas prices in Twin Falls remain at $3.47 per gallon today, up just one cent since last week and 10 cents more than last month + AAA Idaho reported that if high heat or early hurricane season disrupts refineries, a tighter fuel supply may soon push prices higher.  KMVT

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Federal education funding was frozen, leaving $33 million for Idaho, but $6 million has been released today for after-school programs like the Boys and Girls Club of the Magic Valley and a local community center. Officials hope the remaining $27 million will be reviewed and distributed soon — a step that could help keep approved programs running.  KMVT
