  • On Tuesday morning, a fatal crash occurred on State Highway 25 at mile marker 57.3 when a teenager from Rupert riding a 2006 Yamaha YZDE6 motorcycle did not take a curve and was thrown from his bike—he wore his helmet but died at the scene.  KMVT

CRIME NEWS

  • Idaho residents are warned about brushing scams that send unwanted packages with QR codes—directing users to phishing sites to steal personal details. Postal Inspector Kelly McNulty advises everyone to secure their information as scammers use fake orders to boost online reviews.  1310 KLIX
  • A Twin Falls man faces felony aggravated assault with deadly weapon charges after police said he threatened one woman and assaulted another while pointing a gun—26-year-old Tanner Huse made his initial court appearance on Tuesday with bond set at $100,000 and has hearings scheduled for July 18 and Aug. 26.  KMVT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A residential chip seal road project started on July 8 and will run until at least July 21, delaying traffic on Parkview, Grandview, and where Washington meets Federation Road—motorists should slow down in construction zones from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.—with delays expected near Grandview Park Estates and the soccer field.  1310 KLIX

  • Jonathan Cox, a viral BASE jumper, leaped off the Perrine Bridge—a rare legal spot for BASE jumping—and he added extra thrill by paddleboarding and eating a banana during his nearly 500‐foot descent. His daring stunts have drawn viewers from all over the world to Twin Falls.  KEZJ
