COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Twin Falls has more than 20 intersections that do not have stop signs or traffic lights — drivers must slow down and yield to oncoming traffic at these uncontrolled crossings.  Times-News

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Quale's Electronics, a longtime family-owned store on Kimberly Road, will close its doors at the end of the month as owners Steve and Bruce Quale shift away from a shrinking electronics market — the business, started in 1966, became known for its television sales.  Times-News

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • City officials announced that $3 million in federal grants will fund efforts to clean Rock Creek — its water is harmed by pollutants from agricultural runoff and past industrial use. The city will host a planning workshop on June 18 at 5 p.m. at Rock Creek Park to outline restoration plans.  KMVT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Local government officials urge peaceful protest as multiple 'No Kings' demonstrations are planned across Idaho today. The Twin Falls protest will begin at 11 a.m. at the County Courthouse with a march starting at 11:45 a.m.—law enforcement will act on any violence.  KMVT
  • The Idaho Transportation Department is working on six road construction projects across Southern Idaho to improve traffic flow and driver safety ahead of summer vacations, including lane expansions on State Highway 75 between Twin Falls and Jerome and updated ramp designs in Burley. Officials say the projects include a double diamond interchange design + new traffic features and will ease travel by the end of 2026 while advising drivers to slow down in construction zones.  KMVT
