ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On Monday afternoon, the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office responded to an anonymous call about a stalled jet ski that may have gone over Auger Falls and began searching the Snake River from Centennial Park to above the falls using rescue boats and drones with help from the Twin Falls Fire Department and Magic Valley Paramedics, but no leads have been found.  KMVT

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Chipotle will offer free Adobo Ranch on Tuesday, June 17 at Treasure Valley locations if customers sign up as rewards members on the Chipotle app by 11 p.m. on June 16 — the new menu item will be available with any entree order.  1310 KLIX

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Thunderstorms are forecast to reach Magic Valley this week and may produce lightning that could spark wildfires, although high moisture is expected to lower the risk. Local fire districts remain on alert—officials advise residents to avoid controlled burns during high-risk days.  KMVT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Twin Falls used its reserve funds to cover the one million-dollar repair for the burst water main on South Blue Lakes Boulevard last week—a move that kept the commerce route open while city officials faced pressure from state lawmakers to cut rainy day funds.  KEZJ
  • At Monday’s City Council meeting, Twin Falls approved an extra $1.1 million for the Twin Falls City Pool—raising the total budget to $2.3 million—to update old systems and enhance facilities for year-round use. Renovation work will start in August and finish by May 2026.  KMVT
