ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ AAA Idaho said gas in Twin Falls cost $3.32 per gallon and the state average for regular gas was $3.29, which is one cent lower than last week and 35 cents lower than a year ago. The report noted that the West Texas Intermediate crude price stands near $65 per barrel — about $3 higher than last month but $13 lower than a year ago — and prices may rise as summer travel begins. - ➤ Visitors to Shoshone Falls saw a big change over the weekend as Idaho Power raised the flow from 300 CFS to nearly 3,000 CFS — the high water will last for 3–4 weeks before it is lowered. KEZJ
- ➤ Mormon crickets and grasshoppers are returning to Twin Falls this summer because a mild winter boosted their numbers — state agriculture officials said these native insects only become an issue when infestations lead to losses, while the Transportation Department works to keep roads clear. KMVT
