EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ High school students attended the fourth annual law enforcement teen career leadership camp in Idaho Falls where they learned real skills such as visiting the county jail, scuba diving, and firearm use—organizers hope the camp will encourage new recruits as officers retire. The camp filled its capacity of 24 students for this week and now has a waitlist for next year. Local News 8
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Twin Falls is handling a major waterline break at the intersection of Blue Lake Boulevard South and Highland Ave, which has forced a closure (from Kimberly Road to Orchard Drive). Officers are re-routing traffic as delays are expected and motorists are advised to avoid the area. KMVT
- ➤ Today the City of Twin Falls announced that the Wastewater Department will repair a storm drain at the corner of Filer Avenue West and Blake Street North from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. — Blake Street is closed from Dubois Avenue to Filer Avenue, so motorists must use alternate routes. KMVT
