- ➤ Today, Magic Valley Quilts of Valor honored 13 local veterans in Twin Falls with handmade quilts+ one honoree was a 101-year-old WWII veteran. The nonprofit serves eight counties and will hold its next ceremony July 2 at the County West Building. KMVT
- ➤ The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced its new Caldwell Idaho Temple on Tuesday, May 26 at the southwest corner of West Orchard Avenue + South Florida Avenue in Canyon County. The 82,000 sqft, multistory building will be built on a 19.2-acre site. Local News 8
- ➤ The Western Days Parade is set for Saturday, May 30 at 9 a.m. along Falls Ave. and Blue Lakes to Shoshone St. N. and S.; road closures began today at 7 a.m. near the city park (and along the parade route from 7:30 a.m.) and will last until May 31. KMVT

- ➤ Gov. Little declared May as Wildfire Awareness Month to stress making homes safe before summer fires. The Idaho Department of Insurance and the State Fire Marshal’s Office advise homeowners to clear debris, create defensible space, and review insurance policies (a practical guide is available) for wildfire protection.
