- ➤ The Memorial Day ceremony was held at West End Cemetery east of Buhl on May 26 and many community members gathered to honor veterans — a touching tribute that brought locals together. Times-News
- ➤ A BASE jump team from 22 Jumps leaped off Perrine Bridge on Saturday at 5:45 a.m. to raise money and awareness for veterans' mental health, making 22 jumps while climbing over 10,000 feet. At noon one jumper flew with the American flag — and the group said the event honors 22 veterans who take their own lives each day — with funds set to support retreats and brain injury research. KMVT

- ➤ On Monday, deputies responded when a man in an SUV failed to yield at an intersection on North 3300 East and hit a sedan, sending his vehicle off the road where it struck a fence and blocked traffic for almost an hour—no injuries were reported and roads were cleared by just after 5:15 p.m. KMVT

- ➤ Kelley’s Canyon Orchard lost over $150,000 in revenue last year when an April freeze in Magic Valley killed most of its fruit crops, leading the owners to install a sprinkler irrigation system and an industrial fan to protect future harvests. The orchard is open now on Fridays and Saturdays with peonies and will offer a full fruit crop starting June 18 to expand its season. KMVT
