EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The College of Southern Idaho’s law enforcement training program graduated 18 officers today, including 13 patrol officers and five detention deputies now certified for local agencies. CSI is recruiting its next class for training in August. KMVT
- ➤ Kimberly voters voted today on a $58 million bond and plant facility levy for the school district to fund a new fine arts building, gym, field house and outdoor upgrades. The bond requires two-thirds approval with construction beginning fall 2026, while the levy needs a simple majority. KMVT
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Twin Falls officials plan to install a scrubber (expected to be operational soon) to help remove sewer odor after city studies found hydrogen sulfide gas is being released in some neighborhoods. The measure aims to improve the local air quality. Times-News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Women in eastern Idaho are facing a shortage of estrogen patches as rising demand for hormone replacement treatment and recent FDA changes reduce availability, according to local expert Heidi Gregersen (Monarch Healthcare).
