  • Twin Falls Zoological Center offers an indoor summer experience with rescued animals in interactive exhibits where visitors can feed turtles plus parakeets. The center runs on donations + admission fees and provides vital veterinary care and safe enclosures for its animals.  KMVT

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Raising Cane’s has applied to buy the former Golden Corral on Blue Lakes, which closed unexpectedly less than a year ago + bulldozers parked outside on Wednesday signal redevelopment plans. City officials confirmed demolition permits have been submitted + construction permits remain pending as the new restaurant will open early 2026.  KMVT

CRIME NEWS

  • Canyon Ridge High School received a call from a blocked number reporting an online threat just before noon today and, after a quick investigation with Twin Falls police, officials determined the call was a prank—classes continue as usual with extra police on campus.  KEZJ
  • Twin Falls deputies found 14 pounds of meth — eight meth pipes and three glass jars holding a white substance were discovered in a vehicle.  Times-News

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Snake River Stampede rodeo will shift from July to June 17-21 to offer a cooler and more comfortable event, avoiding past record-breaking heat. A new Sunday event on June 22 from 2-6 p.m. at the Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater will feature a wine fest with over 16 local wineries, food trucks and vendors.  1310 KLIX
  • The Snake River Stampede will take place from June 17-21 and add a new wine fest on Sunday, June 22 from 2-6 p.m.—over 16 local wineries, food trucks, and vendors will join the event to give fans a better time. Organizers moved the dates from July to avoid conflicts with other rodeos and to enjoy cooler weather.  KEZJ

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Idaho Transportation Department held a board meeting Thursday to plan building a new bridge across the Snake River—local agencies have been consulted about traffic patterns. They will schedule public meetings at the end of June to gather feedback before starting the environmental study.  KMVT

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Putters in Twin Falls is now open for mini golf and family fun this summer. The facility is open Monday through Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. — it charges $10 for adults and $7 for kids on weekdays while weekend rates are $12 and $9, and they offer group discounts for large parties.  1310 KLIX
