  • Idaho’s Liberty Bell is set to tour all 44 counties this summer and fall after a professional restoration at Packard Christoph Foundry (South Carolina) before returning to its permanent home at the State Capitol. Residents can help fund the tour by donating at participating banks and credit unions.  KMVT

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A tree fell during Wednesday’s windstorm along N 2600 E, knocking down a power pole near Highway 30 and causing a local power outage. Idaho Power crews responded overnight and plan to restore service by morning.  KMVT

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Twin Falls' new Splash Canyon Hotel is taking reservations and plans to open on June 1, though construction delays could postpone the launch. Located at the corner of Pole Line Road and Bridgeview Blvd, the hotel will offer indoor and outdoor water attractions, family suites for 10, and on-site breakfast.  KEZJ

EDUCATION NEWS

  • After state lawmakers changed funding in April, Twin Falls School District saw fewer available IDLA course seats and higher fees—with students paying up to $445 per class for retakes or scheduling conflicts. Elementary schools lost access to the Launchpad program, and counselors are working to help students graduate on time.  KMVT
