- ➤ Twin Falls will host Western Days from Friday, May 29 to Sunday, May 31, with a big parade on Saturday and festivities that boost local shops and restaurants. Local radio will share more details on Friday at 7:00 + traffic, parking, and weather tips. KEZJ
- ➤ More than 250 students participated in the 50th annual Martin Farms Fishing Derby in Jerome today, with 60 volunteers providing fishing poles + guidance while also filleting trout so students could take them home. KMVT
- ➤ Twin Falls City Council approved a $500,000 boost from unspent grant funds to raise the playground project budget to ($900,000) for park renovations. The playground for kids ages 0 to 12 will finish this spring and summer and a public input session is on May 19 at the City Library. KMVT

- ➤ RO Studios will present its annual ROsters dance recital Saturday in Twin Falls, showcasing young performer Aly Huber (12) along with local talent. Times-News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Twin Falls School District superintendent told the board the district could cut 18 positions through attrition from staff departures and retirements rather than lay off teachers. The move is expected to maintain stability for the district. Times-News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ National Police Week runs from May 10 to May 16 to honor Twin Falls law enforcement and remember fallen officers. Local agencies recently held memorial services that included a tribute for Officer Craig Bracken, who was shot in the line of duty in 1939. KMVT
