  • Workers at Twin Falls Animal Shelter and Mountain Humane are trapping—spaying, neutering, and vaccinating feral cats to reduce disease risks and lower the number of cats in colonies. They reported a 21% drop in colony calls in the past 18 months after processing over 750 cats and hope to reach their 'No Kill' goal soon.  KMVT

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Filer School District officials Superintendent Kelli Schroeder and Business Manager Arron Phinney presented details and answered questions on a $52 million bond that will appear on the May 20 ballot+ they provided key information ahead of the upcoming vote.  Times-News
  • Starting next school year, students at College of Southern Idaho will pay about 5 percent more in tuition as the Board approved a roughly seven-dollar increase per credit to help fund additional staff, student clubs, and programs—this is the first rise since 2018. Out-of-state and baccalaureate students will also see a similar increase while the college works to keep tuition affordable.  KMVT
