EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Kimberly High School now offers on-campus mental health support for students facing stress and heavy schedules, with 45-minute counseling sessions available by parent referral (through Family Health Services). KMVT
- ➤ The Idaho Digital Learning Alliance Board met on April 20 to outline changes under House Bill 940 that eliminate K-5 courses and adjust fee levels based on graduation requirements and rural enrollment (the bill was signed on April 10); the provisions will take effect July 1. KMVT
- ➤ School districts in Kimberly and Mackay will ask voters on May ballots to approve $181 million—Kimberly seeks a $57 million bond for a new performing arts center and Mackay plans a $200,000 supplemental levy—to fund education improvements. Times-News
