  • Shoshone Falls reopened on April 18 after six months of road construction closed the access route, and visitors can now reach the popular local attraction.  Times-News

  • Donna Arrington opened A Happy Camper 30 years ago in Twin Falls to meet the need for local camping gear—providing essentials like Dutch Ovens and camp chef stoves without the need to travel to bigger cities. The store operates Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon—offering visitors the gear they need for the upcoming camping season.  KMVT

HEALTH NEWS

  • National Prescription Take Back Day will take place tomorrow, April 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. when people can drop off unneeded prescription medications at designated sites across the region; local law enforcement will be present at sites including Twin Falls — Fred Meyer Parking Lot.  KMVT
  • Idaho homebuyers are urged to test for radon, a colorless, odorless gas from the soil that can cause lung cancer (about 40% of homes may have high levels). Experts including the EPA, CDC and the U.S. Surgeon General advise checking if a home is radon-resistant and taking steps to lower levels if they fall between 2 pCi/L and 4 pCi/L.  KEZJ
