- ➤ Twin Falls Parks and Recreation said the road to Shoshone Falls is open so visitors can enjoy the falls and upcoming warm weather. The road to Dierkes Lake Park is still closed — crews are working to open it late May or early June. KMVT

ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Idaho’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stayed at 3.7% in March as the workforce went down by 667 people and employment rose by 339, while nonfarm jobs dropped by 700. Twin Falls recorded a 0.4% gain in job numbers—contrasted with Pocatello’s 0.2% decline—according to the Idaho Department of Labor. KMVT
- ➤ Idaho Power filed an updated export credit rate with the Public Utilities Commission to change how it pays for extra solar energy due to a drop in the energy market — if approved, customers will receive 14 cents during on-peak hours from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and about 2 cents during off-peak starting June 1, which may affect users like Scott Nelson who saved on bills — and the commission will decide next month. - ➤ Several roads in the Magic Valley are closed this spring for road repairs as crews work on fixes along 3300 North Road, 700 East Road and 1400 East Road. Eastland in Twin Falls is partly closed and crews will soon repair the Pole Line—known for loose gravel—to improve driving safety. 1310 KLIX
- ➤ Gov. Brad Little signed Senate Bill 1130 on Monday to transfer $8.6 million from the State Emergency Relief Fund to support regional hazmat teams and upgrade emergency equipment. Twin Falls Fire Chief Mitchell Brooks attended the signing event (with state and local officials present). KMVT
