ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Monday, April 6, Twin Falls Park and Recreation Department conducted controlled burns at Auger Falls Heritage Park and Shoshone Falls Park. Crews (starting at 8 a.m.) worked at Auger Falls before moving to designated areas at Shoshone Falls Park as weather affected completion. KMVT
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Idaho Transportation Department closed the I‑84 onramp at the US93 interchange on April 6 and will keep it closed through spring for concrete replacement. Northbound drivers leaving Twin Falls must use the existing westbound onramp—typically for southbound traffic—and drive carefully in the construction zone. KEZJ
- ➤ Filer Fire District Chief Phil Roberts said the Quick Response Unit (which helps fill emergency gaps when paramedics are busy) may be discontinued due to volunteer and funding shortages, with the final decision set for April 13 by the Filer Fire Commission. KMVT
- ➤ The City of Twin Falls closed the 1600 block of Maple Avenue on Monday for urgent pipeline repairs replacing a collapsed irrigation pipe. Crews expect the alley to remain closed through the weekend while traffic on Maurice Street is unaffected. KMVT
