BUSINESS NEWS

  • Destino Coffee Company has served the Kimberly community for nearly three years by offering Kona coffee beans from Hawaii and cinnamon roll Saturdays; the family-run shop (operated by six owners) will celebrate its anniversary in July.  KMVT

CULTURE NEWS

  • Kai, a talking magpie in Hagerman, is winning local fans with her cheerful mimicry on a dedicated website — although farmers remain cautious about her potential to damage crops while an interview is being planned.  KEZJ

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Twin Falls Police are rolling out new equipment and training to support community members with autism today. The department is deploying 60 Carter Kits in patrol vehicles and fire trucks plus introducing an autism awareness patrol vehicle that schools have already requested for community events.  KMVT
  • Residents with pressurized irrigation are to water on even or odd days as the Twin Falls Canal Company begins the 2026 season with reduced water delivery due to a low-snow winter. Public works director Josh Baird warned that those not following the schedule may lose water pressure.  KMVT

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Rockhounding season is underway as quartzite and pyrite may be found in clusters along riverbeds on a mountain in the Wood River Valley about 70 miles north of Twin Falls, while enthusiasts are reminded to explore only on public lands & avoid trespassing on private property.  KEZJ
  • Local cash giveaway runs every weekday until May 1. Starting with codes given on April 2, one winner each day will receive $1,000 and on special Thursdays, April 23 and April 30, a $5,000 prize will be awarded.  KEZJ
