  • A food hub named Lola outside St. Luke’s Magic Valley opens every Tuesday and Thursday to stock local food pantries with perishable items — eggs, milk, cheese, fruits and vegetables — during National Nutrition Month. Since September, Lola has delivered 85,000 pounds of food to support nearly 25,000 food insecure residents in the area.  KMVT

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Residents who have used 23andMe are advised to delete their accounts to prevent the sale of their genetic data in Idaho, Washington, and Utah. The company filed for bankruptcy and plans to sell its user data, so users should log into their settings, download their information, and click 'Permanently Delete Data' (following the provided steps) to secure their privacy.  1310 KLIX

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Idaho State Department of Agriculture announced that hot wash and check stations for boaters are now open at Centennial Park in Twin Falls and along U.S. Highway 93 and Interstate 84 to help stop invasive species from spreading. All boaters must stop for a mandatory inspection during daylight hours — and nonresident boat owners must buy an invasive species sticker before launching.  KMVT
  • Gov. Brad Little signed a law on Wednesday that lets judges ask for the death penalty for those who commit aggravated lewd conduct with a child 12 and under and sets mandatory minimum prison terms for abuse involving a child under 16—The law will start on July 1 and may face legal challenges.  Times-News
