  • Nana's Hotdog Heaven is expanding to a new year-round food trailer to serve specialty hotdogs and fries in Twin Falls and nearby towns. Owner Sherri McNitt said the trailer will roll out in May and she plans to operate at least five days a week.  1310 KLIX

CRIME NEWS

  • Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Deputies seized methamphetamine and psychedelic mushrooms after a long investigation triggered by traffic stops—Sheriff Jack Johnson and Captain Scott Bishop said the bust is part of ongoing efforts to stop drug trafficking along highway 93.  KEZJ
  • Security experts warn Idahoans to hang up immediately if a caller says 'Can you hear me?'—recording your response could let scammers later use it to authorize funds or impersonate you.  1310 KLIX

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • On Wednesday evening, the Idaho Department of Fish and Game Commission finalized a plan for big game season management that will include changes — such as year-round mountain lion hunting, increased elk opportunities and reduced mule deer hunts — to help grow doe and fawn numbers. The plan, which also adjusts black bear hunting based on recent surveys, will be available online and in print by the end of April.  KMVT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Idaho passed Senate Bill 1099 that sets mandatory minimum prison sentences for vehicular manslaughter charges for people with prior DUI convictions—those with one prior conviction will face at least five years and those with two or more will serve a minimum of ten years. The law gives judges clear rules for sentencing offenders to help deter drunk driving in the community.  1310 KLIX
  • City officials said all Twin Falls subdivisions will get pressurized irrigation water by May 1—city crews will work from April 15 for two weeks after the Twin Falls Canal Company opened Milner Dam’s gates.  KMVT
