- ➤ Twin Falls firefighters contained a fire at Washington Park apartments on the 1300 block of Washington Street South after a resident saw smoke from the maintenance shed around 1 a.m.—residents exited safely and no injuries were reported. KMVT
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ An 18-year-old driver from Twin Falls — Edgar Antonio Venegas — was arrested on March 26 and charged with multiple felonies including vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene, aggravated DUI and injuring a child after he fled a February 22 accident that killed 30-year-old Jose Malagon and injured four others. - ➤ A shooting incident over the weekend in Twin Falls left one man in the hospital and police asked locals for video and information on the altercation that occurred about an hour earlier — the shooter claimed self-defense and posted a video to support his claim. KEZJ
- ➤ Twin Falls police said yesterday that teen driver Edgar Antonio Venegas was arrested—charged with multiple felonies after fleeing the fatal crash on February 22 that killed 30-year-old Jose Malagon and injured four others. 1310 KLIX
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ United Van Lines released its survey showing that 64,970 Idaho residents left the state in the last year — with most moving to Washington at 11.5%, Utah at 10.4%, Texas at 8.8%, Arizona at 7.8%, or Oregon at 6.3%. The survey asked why people moved and found that many left because they felt life in Idaho no longer fit their needs even though more people moved in than out overall. 1310 KLIX
