  • Raising Cane’s fans in Twin Falls camped overnight (with tents and sleeping bags) to secure a spot during the grand opening, following similar excitement in Meridian. A new location in Coeur d’Alene has also drawn hundreds eager to try the chicken fingers.  1310 KLIX

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Jackie Frey and the Rock Creek Fire District warn that this dry winter—with little snowfall—is raising wildfire risks in local communities as dry vegetation fuels uncontrolled burns; residents planning controlled burns must call local fire departments for safe practices.  KMVT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Governor Little signed House Bill 623 today—a law requiring public schools to start the day with 60 seconds of silence for students to reflect, meditate, pray, or think quietly while teachers are barred from directing its use.  KMVT

SPORTS NEWS

  • Brundage Mountain Resort remains open with discount passes for $65 for passholders from other resorts as many slopes close for spring. The resort (a couple hours north of Treasure Valley) offers skiing on over 1,900 acres today.  1310 KLIX
