  • Today, a semi-truck from the LDS Church in Salt Lake City delivered food to local families through South Central Community Action Partnership as part of the ongoing America 250 effort — volunteers will distribute the supplies to Magic Valley pantries to meet basic needs.  KMVT

  • South Central Idaho employers have updated job postings to help local job seekers find their next career opportunity, with positions spanning several industries.  Times-News

FINANCE NEWS

  • On Tuesday, Feb. 17, the Idaho Lottery confirmed a ticket matched all five numbers to win the $417,100 Idaho Cash jackpot; the jackpot reset to $20,000 as drawings continue nightly at 8:00 p.m. MT.  KEZJ

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Tesla’s Full Self-Driving still needs a driver who stays alert, as state law holds you responsible while driving & the tech does not allow a bypass of DUI rules.  1310 KLIX
  • Idaho taxpayers may face processing and refund delays as the State Tax Commission updates forms, software, and internal systems to implement tax changes from House Bill 559. Taxpayers needing to meet the April 15 deadline can request an automatic filing extension while the commission refines new deduction rules.  KMVT
  • City crews are replacing a deteriorating water line under the Morrison Drive trailhead at Rock Creek Canyon today (residents and visitors are asked to avoid the area as a temporary odor may occur) with repairs scheduled to be complete by the end of the day.  KMVT

  • The Consumer Product Safety Commission today warned Idaho shoppers to stop using LShome Photoelectric Smoke Alarms sold on Amazon because a higher sensing threshold may delay warnings during a fire (these 9V, battery-powered 3-pack units are eligible for a full refund through the recall process).  KEZJ
