- ➤ Wildlife experts report that coyotes have grown larger in Wyoming due to interbreeding with dogs, a trend that raises concerns for pet owners and farmers in southern Idaho. Local hunters say rules may change if the animals show more wolf-like traits + community impacts continue. KEZJ

- ➤ Twin Falls Police Department is preserving its history during station renovations by sealing a time capsule containing a letter from the chief, the 2024 report, a patch and a challenge coin; the capsule will open when renovations resume in 15+ years. KMVT
- ➤ Idaho Transportation officials advise drivers to keep a safe distance from 58,000-pound snow plows during winter storms. They stress maintaining a 3-second gap and avoiding right-side passes (to steer clear of blind spots) while plows clear roads at 35 mph. KMVT

- ➤ Solider Mountain opened for the 2025-26 season on Jan. 10 after a winter storm added 12 to 15 inches of snowfall to its base. The resort has some runs available—additional snowfall is needed before opening more trails, general manager David Alden said. KMVT
