  • Canyon Ridge High School honored Brenner Kunz as Scholar of the Week to recognize his academic achievements.  Times-News
  • The Idaho Department of Education announced that 158 elementary schools will offer students free fresh produce during the school day through USDA grants from the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) that run from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.  KMVT
  • The College of Southern Idaho’s 16-week law enforcement training program is accepting applications before classes begin Jan. 20 to prepare entry-level officers through hands-on instruction. Local agencies, including Twin Falls PD, back the course as it builds community connections.  KMVT

  • Families facing winter heating bills can apply for LIHEAP federal assistance to get one-time payments sent to their utility company until March 31. Applicants can call (208-736-0676) or visit South Central Community Action Partnership for eligibility.  KMVT
  • One right lane on US-30 Westbound near Eastland Drive in Twin Falls will close Friday, Jan. 9 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. while road workers replace a light pole.  KMVT

HEALTH NEWS

  • Idaho will receive $930 million in federal funds to boost rural health care access, Gov. Brad Little said today as the funding will help hospitals and clinics better serve local families.  Times-News
